The CUTIS project, in partnership with the Canada-Ukraine Chamber of Commerce, held a webinar with David Simpson, Director of InterPraxis (Canada, Great Britain, Japan), a leading international expert in the field of corporate social responsibility.
David Simpson is an experienced consultant specializing in corporate responsibility, stakeholder engagement, sustainability and social impact measurement & evaluation. He has served as the independent social auditor for a number of organizations in the banking, insurance, consumer products, investment, and mining sectors.
David was also an expert member of the International Working Group that published the ISO 26000 Guidance Standard on Social Responsibility and ISO 37001 on anti-bribery. He is an accredited social Impact auditor and advisor for the London Social Stock Exchange.
He has led seminars on sustainability at the United Nations University in Tokyo and lectured at the University of Toronto, McMaster University, York University as well as at Oxford’s Saïd Business School and the University of Cambridge Programme for Sustainability Leadership.
During the webinar participants learned:
- What corporate social responsibility is, and how relevant it is for SMEs
- How environmental, social and economic factors are increasingly changing the value drivers and strategic position of companies for tomorrow’s success
- How to identify emerging risks and opportunities of CSR for your company; and
- The basics about how to implement an effective CSR program in your organization which is ‘fit for purpose’
